These sunglasses are well made using real glass (think Panama Jack and Serengeti) and are put together with excellent welds and fit to last a long time. The military no longer uses AO but the glasses remain a classic. Here is Robert Di Nero in Taxi Driver talking to Harvey Kitel. You can pick these up off Ebay for around $35 shipped.
